Lights, Camera, Action! Enter the IABC Film Festival
To celebrate our September Worldwide Member Month, IABC is launching its first-ever international “Film Festival.” We’re inviting every individual member and chapter to create and submit a video (2 minutes maximum) that tells the IABC story.
This is your chance to let your creativity shine. Your video could be in the style of a TV commercial, a documentary, or even a musical! You could also just turn on your camera and tell us your story in your own words. Whether it’s a glitzy Hollywood style production, or a low-frills “indie” movie, we want to capture the faces, voices, and stories of the people who make IABC what it is. All you need is a digital video camera–even if it’s just your cell phone!
Possible themes include:
— The value of IABC to your career
— IABC member success stories
— A day in the life of today’s IABC member
— The IABC member or experience that changed your life
We’ll post all qualified entries online and encourage all IABC members to watch and choose their favorites. There is no fee to enter.Deadline for entry is 30 September 2009. Winning videos will be screened and awards will be presented at the 2010 Leaders Institute in San Diego in January.
To enter:
1. Post your video to YouTube
2. E-mail the following information to [email protected]:
— Your name
— The URL to the video on YouTube
— The category you’re entering (pick one):
a) Individual member video
b) Chapter video (group effort on behalf of your chapter)
c) Student video (Open to student members only)
Restrictions: Entry into the IABC Film Festival is open to current IABC members only. By submitting a video, you agree to allow IABC to reproduce and distribute the video for promotional purposes with no compensation due. IABC reserves the right to disqualify any entry from being featured at its discretion.
